Born Free...

This is Olivier the lion and he was just the product of a lazy patch at work. I was in the beginning stages of a large-scale painting for George of another feline predator. I felt so restricted with the HB pencil and the 80 cent black Bic Biro but then I realised, this was to become the gypsy way. What would Stevie Nicks do? I am soon to be living the gypsy lifestyle and will no longer have a little haven to myself, nor the means to cart around paint and canvases. So the HB and the Bic will be my friends, my confidantes. I will buy a grey fanny-pack and take the world by storm!!!

Here is a bird. I didn't find out the species, but he was of the ochre persuasion. I am not quite ready to delve into indigenous New Zealand birds as my fear of 90s ceramic art has not abated. I am from Motueka, the official home of 90s ceramic art, so once I yearn for times of yore I will yearn for the art form. And not until then...

"The ghetto art phase of the tansvestite reverse-gay artist known as Tommy Ross was merked by the available mediums of 50 cent ball point pens and sanitary napkins each of which was stolen from the Wellington 'Starbucks' coffee shop in a mixed statement that screamed anti american corporation international proliferation sentiments along with I'm-broke-buy-me-wine undertones."

(I like the bird)
